Welcome to Hermitage Pre-school - a place for children to play, learn and grow.

We aim to provide a welcoming, calm and enriched environment for 2-5 year olds. We want all children to feel happy, safe and empowered to learn.

We have a great team of highly professional staff who are fun and friendly.

Each child will have their own key worker, which benefits the child, the parents, the staff and the setting. It encourages secure relationships which support children to thrive, gives parents confidence and makes the setting a happy place to attend or work in.

Our setting will work with children, parents and the community to ensure the rights and safety of children, young people and vulnerable adults. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and we expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  We will ensure that all our recruitment and selection practices reflect this commitment. All successful candidates will be subject to Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks where appropriate, along with other relevant employment checks.  

Our Safeguarding Policy is based on the three key commitments of the Early years Alliance Safeguarding Children Policy.

Opening Hours

We are open during term time only.

Monday - Friday for morning sessions:

9.15am - 1.15pm

Additional afternoon sessions on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays:

1.15pm - 3.00pm

Hermitage Pre-school are proud to be the official food share partner of Hermitage Co-op.

None of us can afford to throw away good food. That's why co-op stores give products that are going out of date to local community groups at the end of each day to prevent food waste, so far they've given away over three million meals and counting. Traditionally, this food would be thrown away, however Co-op want these products to reach and feed the people in our local community who need it most to prevent food waste. We are very grateful to have been selected as food share partner.
