About our Pre-school staff:

Mel Needham : (Manager) - I started my career as a professional dancer and performer I ran my own successful dancing school for many years before changing career totally and working within the Automotive industry. My 3 children attended the Pre School and I became a committee member before deciding to seek a formal qualification in childcare.  The Pre School has been part of my life for many years and I am proud to now manage our Village Pre School with a commitment to provide young children with the best possible outcomes.

Sandra: (Deputy Manager) - I started out originally in the childcare field as a nanny. I then joined the pre-school as Deputy 11 years ago and have been here ever since! I have an NNEB qualification and have also done first aid training and health and social care qualifications. I enjoy the crafty activities that we do here at pre-school, but my favourite things are Literacy and Numeracy related tasks with the children! I enjoy working here at Hermitage pre-school and get on well with everyone in the team. The children always seem to warm to me quickly which is lovely and are often following me around !

Karla: (Pre-school Assistant)

I joined the Pre-school in May 2015 having worked with children since qualifying 9 years ago with a Diploma in Childcare and Education. I really enjoy working with children and helping them to develop skills ready for school and later life. In my spare time I enjoy reading, colouring, swimming and walking with my own children and dog Tucker.

Katy: (Pre-school Assistant)
I'm a busy mum of two, whose children keep me on my toes and live locally to the pre-school. I've been a regular face at pre-school since 2008 when my son started and I've also been a member of bank staff since 2010 when my daughter started. Since September 2013, I have been frequently working at pre-school but I am delighted to take on a permanent role from February 2014. With a bubbly, cheery nature, I enjoy interacting with the children helping them to learn and grow, often making more mess then they do. I take huge enthusiasm in my work as I really do love what we do at pre-school.
